Petoskey Rotary Noon Club NEWSLETTER – December 2, 2015

4 Way Test:  Thank you Dennis Myers

Invocation:  Randy Evans recited another of his thought provoking poems. This week we listened to “Oh My God (OMG).”  Excellent

OMG

OH, MY GOD,
OH, MY GOD,
OMG

OH MY GOD MY COMPUTER’S HACKED,
OH MY GOD MY WINDSHIELD’S CRACKED.

OH MY GOD MY BLOOD WORK’S OFF
OH MY GOD I HAVE A COUGH.

OH MY GOD MY HAIR’S A FRIZZLE.
OH MY GOD IT’S BEGUN TO DRIZZLE.

OH MY GOD THE CATSUP BOTTLE,
FIRST A LITTLE THEN A LOTTLE.

OMG’S NOT A HYMN,
OMG’S AN ACRONYM.

OMG IS WHAT YOU TEXT
WHEN YOU’RE EVER FEELING VEXED.

“OH MY GOD,” SAYS GIRLS WITH HANDS ON HIPS.
THE PHRASE BURSTS OUT THEIR GLOSSY LIPS.

OMG’S NO REVELATION.
IT’S BECOME AN ABBREVIATION.

“OH MY GOD” SAYS THE POLITICIAN.
“OH MY GOD” SAYS THE BEAUTICIAN.

“OH MY GOD" SAYS THE INTELLECTUAL.
OH MY GOD, THEY HENPECTUAL.

OH MY GOD, NOT WORDS OF PRAISE,
OH MY GOD'S AN EMPTY PHRASE.

BUT WHAT IF OH MY GOD WAS A THREAD
WOVEN INTO PRAYER INSTEAD?

WHAT IF OMG WAS SACRED PRAISE,
TO BLESS OUR NIGHTS AND GUIDE OUR DAYS?

AND GOD SAID,

OH MY CHILD,
OH MY DAUGHTER,
OH MY SON.

AND WE SAID,

OH . . . MY GOD,
OH . . . MY . . . GOD,
OH MY . . . GOD

LOL, WHATEVER!

AMEN
