Dong Kurn Lee is chair of Bubang Co. Ltd. and Bubang Techron Co. Ltd., manufacturing companies based in Seoul. A graduate of Yonsei University, D.K. serves as a trustee of the Busan College of Information Technology and is a past president of both his high school and college alumni associations. He has served as a trustee of the Bank of Seoul and honorary consul of Italy in Korea.

He joined the Rotary Club of Seoul Hangang in 1971 and has served RI as director, treasurer, trustee, district governor, and International Assembly training leader. He also has been a regional Rotary Foundation coordinator and zone and regional coordinator for membership development. He is chair of the Polio Eradication Private Sector Initiative in Korea and serves as Korea’s PolioPlus national advocacy adviser. He is a recipient of the Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award. In 1996, as district governor, D.K. was recognized at the RI Convention as the winner of the Calgary Challenge, which recognized the district with the most successful membership development efforts, chartering 32 new clubs and adding nearly 1,800 new members.

He lives in Seoul, Korea, with his wife, Young. They have four children and five grandchildren.

Wilfrid J. Wilkinson has been a chartered accountant since 1958. He married Joan Hogan in 1953 and they have four sons. Wilf was a founding partner of Wilkinson & Company, a public accounting firm.

Mr. Wilkinson is a past-president of the Public Accountants Council – Province of Ontario, and a past Treasurer of both the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He is also a member of the Institute of Charged Accountants of Quebec and the Royal Canadian Military Institute. He was chairman of the Trenton Memorial Hospital fundraising committee, was the founding chairman of the Belleville Cheshire Home for Physically Handicapped Adults, and has served as chairman of the Board for Loyalist College and as President of the District Council of the Boy Scouts of Canada. After retiring from accountancy, Wilf was the part-time Executive Director of the Quinte Ballet School of Canada.

A Rotarian since 1962, Mr. Wilkinson is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Trenton, Ontario. He has served as a Rotary volunteer on a measles immunization project in India. A past Rotary Director, Vice-president of the RI Board, Trustee of the Rotary Foundation and district governor, he has also been an International Assembly discussion leader, and a chairman and member of several committees.

As a member of the International PolioPlus Committee, Mr. Wilkinson was dedicated to the global effort to eradicate polio. Rotary’s PolioPlus program, launched in 1985, is an aggressive public/private partnership to assist international health agencies and governments to certify the world as polio-free. He was a Health, Hunger and Humanity Program volunteer to India and has visited that country for Rotary on seven occasions. He has also had Rotary assignments in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Namibia and Pakistan as well as the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and many parts of the United States and Canada. He has served on numerous District and International committees as well as chairing several conferences including the 100th Anniversary Convention in Chicago. In 1997, he participated at the National Immunization Days in Kenya and Tanzania, in 1999 in the slums of New Delhi, India and in March 2002 administered polio drops to children of Afghan refugees in Pakistan as part of the Pakistan Afghan Refugee Project of 2001-2004.

Bill retired in 1995 as General Manager of Gordon & Gotch Magazines, Ltd., New Zealand’s largest magazine distributor. He is a Trustee of New Zealand’s Trees for Survival Trust and the June Gray Trust and has represented Rotary on the National Kidney Foundation and the Intellectually Handicapped Society. He has been an elder and Youth Leader of the Presbyterian Church and a warranted Scout Leader, and has refereed rugby union football for 31 years. He was chair of the Rotary Down Under Management Committee.

A Rotarian since 1971, Bill is a member of the Rotary Club of Pakuranga. He has served Rotary International as district governor, training leader, moderator of the International Assembly, committee member and chair, including deputy chair of the New Zealand National PolioPlus committee, assistant deputy coordinator of PolioPlus partners, task force assistant general coordinator, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, Director and Treasurer of the RI Board. He is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and its Distinguished Service Award. He has also received a Distinguished Service Award from Rotary Down Under.

Bill and his wife Lorna live in Howick, Auckland, New Zealand. They have two sons and two daughters and 10 grandchildren.

Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar, a food broker for international products, is the former owner of Gust.F.Bratt AB. During his active business career he traveled all over the world. In addition, he has been a member of the boards of several companies and served as chairman of the board of a local private school.

Carl-Wilhelm has been a Rotarian since 1974 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Göteborg, Sweden. He immediately became involved in all levels of Rotary, and has held a numerous positions at the Club, District and International levels. His District service has included chairing the Youth Exchange and Member Elections Committees and the Sweden Rotary Youth Exchange Foundation. He was also a treasurer of the Rotary International Scholarship Foundation of his District and served as District Governor in 1987-88.

He began International Service to Rotary in 1991 with the appointment to the Youth Service Committee, which he chaired in 1993, followed by positions as regional coordinator of the Youth Service Task Force and serving as a moderator at numerous Rotary International Institutes. He has personally many times represented the RI President at a District Conference in locations streching from Finland via Africa and USA to India. He has been a RI Director 1996-98, and as such a member of the Executive Committee, chairing the Finance Committee of the Board and vice-chairman of the Audit Committee.

He has been member of the Audit & Operations Review Committee of RI 1998-2000 and a member of the 2001 San Antonio Convention Committee. He was also Moderator of the 1999-2000 Regional Magazine Editors Seminar, Chairman of the Permanent Fund Committee for Europe and RIBI 2000-04, Chairman of the Presidential Celebration in Stockholm 2003, General Coordinator for the Literacy and Education Task Force 2003-04, National PolioPlus Advocacy Advisor and member of the Polio Eradication Advocacy Task Force. Carl-Wilhelm is a Major Donor and a Benefactor of the Rotary Foundation.

Carl-Wilhelm was born in Göteborg, Sweden, January 16, 1935. He is married to Monica since 1962, has two sons, two grandsons and one granddaughter.

Glenn E Estess

Glenn E. Estess, Sr. is the Retired Chief Executive Officer of Glenn Estess Associates, Inc. Born in Pike County, Mississippi; he earned a degree in Chemistry and Physics from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Glenn is one of five brothers who were Rotarians. Four were Presidents of their respective clubs in four different cities in three states.

Glenn is past chairman of trustees of the Baptist Health Systems, an eleven-hospital system headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama with approximately 10,000 employees. He served as director of the Better Business Bureau of Central Alabama and as a trustee for the Workmen's Compensation Trust of the Business Council of Alabama. Earlier in Florida he was chairman of the YMCA, the American Chemical Society and the Arthritis Foundation. He was also a member of the Board of Regents of the National Association of Personnel Consultants in the United States.

A Rotarian since 1960, Glenn was a member first in club #41 at Jacksonville, Florida (USA), and then Wayne, New Jersey (USA). Glenn was an Advisor to the 1997 RI Convention Committee, PolioPlus National Coordinator in 1987-88. During his tenure as a Trustee, Glenn served as Chairman of the Foundation's Finance Committee and Vice Chairman of its Program Committee. He was RI's International Assembly Chairman and Moderator in 1999.

He formerly was a member for four years and Chairman for one year of RI's Audit & Operations Review Committee. This is RI's only committee having a six-year term. This Committee serves in an Advisory role to the Board of Directors. Glenn was also the Chair of the 2002-2003 Membership Development and Retention Committee.

Glenn is a Rotary Foundation Major Donor, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Benefactor. He is the recipient of the Citation for Meritorious Service, the Service Above Self Award, and The Rotary Foundation's Distinguished Service Award.

Glenn and Mary have three children and eight grandchildren. Sixteen members of his family are Paul Harris Fellows.

Jonathan Majiyagbe

A senior advocate of Nigeria, Majiyagbe is the principal counsel of the law firm J.B. Majiyagbe & Company, in Kano. A member of the Nigerian and English bars, Majiyagbe also belongs to the Honourable Body of Benchers, the panel that evaluates the qualifications of those seeking to practice law in Nigeria and formally calls them to the bar. He is a graduate of London University and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London.

Majiyagbe is chairman of the Kano State branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society and was for many years chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Kano. He is also a member of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture and is trustee of various international cultural organizations.

A Rotarian since 1967, Majiyagbe has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader, committee member and chairman, Foundation trustee, aide to the president, and director. He is past chairman of the African Regional PolioPlus Committee and the African Affairs Committee.

Majiyagbe is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Kano. He and his wife, Ade, are Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation.

Bhichai Ratakul

Bhichai Rattakul, of the Rotary Club of Dhonburi, Bangkok, Thailand, is President of RI for the 2002-03 Rotary year.

A nine-term member of the Thai Parliament, Rattakul also served his country as leader of the Democratic Party, as foreign minister in 1975-76, as deputy prime minister for 10 years, and as chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. As a cabinet member of the Royal Thai Government, he was vice chairman of the National Security Council and chairman of the Counter Corruption Commission and the Narcotics Control Board.

Before entering government, Rattakul was president of the Thai Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Association and Director of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Industries.

Rattakul has received many awards and decorations from Their Majesties, the King of Thailand and the Emperor of Japan, and the presidents of the Philippines, Republic of Korea, Austria, and Nicaragua. He has led many Thai delegations to the United Nations General Assembly.

Since becoming a charter member of the Rotary Club of Dhonburi in 1958, Rattakul has served RI as district governor, International Assembly discussion leader, committee member and chairman, Foundation trustee, and director and chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board. Currently, he is the chairman of the 2000-01 Diplomatic Relations Task Force.

Rattakul has received The Rotary Foundation's Distinguished Service Award and Citation for Meritorious Service for his support of its international humanitarian and educational programs.
