District Govenor Chris Etienne

Chris Etienne joined the Rotary Club of Petoskey in 1991 and was previously a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Ledge for one year. She served as President of the Rotary Club of Petoskey in 1997-98. Chris has also served on the board of trustees for Petoskey Rotary Club Charities, Inc. for four years and was President from 2001-2003. She served District 6290 as Assistant Governor from 1998-2001, Membership Chair from 2001-2003 and District Trainer from 2003-2006. Chris has also served on the District Group Study Exchange Committee, Nominating Committee and Finance Committee. She has been the chair of her club's Rotary Foundation Committee from 2001 to the present. She participated in fundraising for a world community service project involving a Helping Grant from The Rotary Foundation for schools in Jalalabad, Afghanistan as a partner with the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club and District 5340.

Chris is Associate Real Estate Broker and Sales Director for BayHarbor where she has worked since 2001. Previously she was Vice President of Treasury Management Sales at National City Bank. Chris obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland, European Division in Heidelberg, Germany in 1987 and her MBA from Lake SuperiorStateUniversity in 1993.

Chris is a board member of the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and founding board member of the Bay Harbor Foundation. She is also a past board member of Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, past board member and administrator for the Northwest Michigan Industrial Association for 13 years and a volunteer for the Women's Resource Center Safe Home for 6 years.

Chris has been married to Dennis Lindeman for 12 years. Dennis is the owner of Linde Furniture in Cheboygan. They are both Paul Harris Fellows, as are several members of their family. Chris is also a member of the Bequest Society. She and Dennis participated in a National Immunization Days trip to India in February 2004. They have hosted 7 Group Study Exchange Team members. Chris and Dennis enjoy their free time with their Persian cats as well as traveling and sailing the Great Lakes. Chris and Dennis are also active members of the Cheboygan Yacht Club and Bay Harbor Yacht Club.
