City Manager

Rob Straebel, City Manager of Petoskey was our guest speaker this date. He has been on the job for the past six months and came from the City of Charlevoix, where he was the city manager previously. There are four department heads in the City of Petoskey which is extremely streamlined versus where he came from previously. There is a $27.9 million dollar budget for the City of Petoskey and they operate with a positive cash flow on a yearly basis. There are no increases for water, sewer or electricity for the next fiscal year. There are proposed projects for the 2016 year and we have an extremely vibrant and healthy city with very effective management.
