ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Fireside Chat: The following persons completed their Fireside Chat on November 19, 2014:
  • Christian Michael Smith, proposed by Bill Collins, is with the State of Michigan YMCA.  He will bring organization and public speaking skills to the club
  • Marie Law, proposed by Jane Millar, is in the field of Marketing and there is no question as to the expertise she will bring to the club being in this profession
  • Katherine Winslow, proposed by her father Roger Winslow, is in the field of acupuncture.  This will be our fist father/daughter team!
If you have any questions regarding these candidate, please contact President Steve or a member of the Board.  These names are posted, per the Bylaws, for two weeks in the bulletin
 
Toys For Tots – Dave Thomas announced the kick off for the Marine Corp League's Toys for Tots.  Please consider donating a $10-$15.00 toy for a child.  Monetary donations, in the form of a check, are also accepted.  The box for toy donations will be at the sign in desk.  DONATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY DECEMBER 10, 2014
 
Diamonds & Denim:  Bill Collins reminded us of the wonderful pictures taken by Sandra Lee at this event.  Please go the website and review her work and consider buying a few photos, Sandra’s work was done gratis. 
 
Wreaths Across America – Greenwood Cemetery – Bob Waldvogel announced that all veterans will have a wreath placed on their graves this Christmas.  A short ceremony will be held on December 13, 2014 at 11:45 AM, followed by the placing of the wreaths in the cemetery.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Assistance in laying the wreaths will also be appreciated.
 
Bell Ringing - The signup sheet will be circulated next week.  The date is Friday, December 19th, 2014.
 
Spaghetti Dinner – Save the Date.  February 12th, 2015.
 
CALENDAR SALES – SELL, SELL, SELL!  The return envelopes will be found on your tables every week.
 
PROGRAM
Service Above Self.  Rotarians stocked shelves at Manna today.  We found we had skills we never knew we had. We had a great time as evidenced by the photos posted on the Rotary Facebook Page and Manna got to experience Rotarians at their finest; helping the community they live in.
