102 Years of Service Above Self

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Petoskey. President Reg Smith; officiated the meeting.

If you did not get the chance to attend, you can read about it in this newsletter.

Pledge/Anthem:  Howard Richards led us in My Country tis of Thee

4-Way Test:  Andrea Koch

Invocation:  Jean Frentz

This is a joyous time of year. The holidays bring back memories of family, food, fun and music, and hearing certain songs can cue specific memories in people’s brains. Not only does music give us that nostalgic feeling, but the words of the songs also often resonate with us and remind us of another time.

Today we are blessed to hear our own Petoskey High School madrigal singers. Madrigal is a type of secular song that became popular during Europe's Renaissance and early Baroque periods. Renaissance madrigals developed primarily in Italy during the sixteenth century, and songs were performed a cappella. We are very lucky to have this long-standing tradition in our community. Today we are privileged to celebrate our Petoskey talent. Enjoy!
