Change of Location:  Next week we will be at the Bay View Inn! DO NOT FORGET!

Exchange of Officers:  Our Exchange of Officers is June 29th at Stafford’s Perry Hotel from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm. If you have not received your invitation, please let Karen Ragland know. There will be no regular Rotary meeting that week on the 28th.  

Calendar Sales:  CALENDAR UPDATE – RESPONSE DUE ASAP! If you have not already, please let Karen Ragland know if you will be selling calendars this year, or will be opting out. Calendars will be ordered a the end of the month and we need a final count. If you do not respond, you will automatically be signed up to sell 10 calendars.

Board Positions:  Due to personal reasons, Teri Donaldson and John Emley have stepped down from the Board. Please keep them in your thoughts. They will remain in the club and as active as possible.

Fourth Fireworks:  Check your inboxes soon for opportunities  to support and volunteer at the 4th of July Petoskey festivities!

Winter Sports Park Update:  We are at $850,000 to-date, but still have $400,000 to go! Reach out to your network and support the efforts!

Strive Update:  11 students participated in this year’s STRIVE program. Highlights include a 2-year scholarship to NCMC for a graduating student interested in pursuing manufacturing, as well as a $600 award to a student to purchase supplies for a new career in automotive tech.

Northern Community Mediation:  June 22: Don’t miss Northern Community Mediation’s Summer Solstice Fundraiser on Thursday, June 22 at the Emmet County Fairgrounds! A $20 gift card to a local downtown business is your entry ticket — Choose your favorite party store, restaurant, or retail shop. Each gift card will become a raffle prize – 5 to a bundle ($100 value) and they’ll be drawing winners all night long! Learn more HERE

PROGRAM:  Amy Evans – Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Petoskey is a branch office of the Christian non-profit Salvation Army, whose mission emphasizes aiding the poor and people in need. The Salvation Army offers human services through its programs, including disaster relief and public emergency services, as well as opportunities for worship and bible study. In Emmet County, the Salvation Army also runs a thrift store. 

The salvation army provides substance abuse programs, children and elderly care programs, disaster relief and emergency preparedness, holiday giving, food pantry, utility and eviction assistance, and so much more.  

Volunteer bell ringers are needed during the 4th of July holiday.
