ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Community Tennis Courts:  Bob Waldvogel let us know that there will be a dedication of the remodeled community tennis courts on Sept 15th At 5:00 p,m. We were instrumental in this project so if you can make it that would be great

Youth Exchange Weekend:  Dave Thomas thanked all the members who helped at the Youth Exchange weekend

Marine Corp Ball:  The Marine Corp Ball is coming up and our own Dave Thomas will be installed as the Commander. If you want to attend or sponsor talk to Dave

One Rotary Summit:  Dave Thomas also let us know about One Rotary Summit on October 14th in Roscommon. If you are interested in attending let Dave know

Roadside Cleanup:  Tim Kaufman let us know that Roadside clean up is Sept 23rd. Meet at Walloon Village Marina (Next to Expectations, Funny how Tim knows this) at 8:30 a.m.

Diamonds & Denim Silent Auction:  Ingrid needs a couple of volunteers to help out at the silent auction for Diamonds & Denim. If you can do that talk to her. She also collected $800 for wine baskets and there will be three of them. One each of Italian, French and Californian wines

Mike Snyder said there are still tickets available so get yours soon

Reg Smith let us know that there are three named donors for this years event; Visconti Imaging, Sun Glass Shoppe, McLaren Northern Michigan and Central Industrial Manufacturing

PROGRAM:

Bill Collins introduced our own Randy Evans who always gives us a great program on what it takes to be a writer and how imaging works in writing. He is coming out with his fourth book soon
