Sad news again this week for our Club. Doc McMurray passed away last Saturday. He was a great man and a amazing member and will be missed. Details on visitation and services is available on the Stone Funeral home web site: Link

Check Presentation:  John Hurd introduced Mary Jean Myerson, Gabe Myerson and Elana Shepard, members of the Petoskey Paladins, the high school robotics team. We have supported them in the past and we presented them with another $2,500 which was matched by a district grant of $2,500

Announcements:

Spaghetti Dinner:  Sauce night is February 14th starting at 2:00 pm at the Bay View Inn.  There will be something special for Valentine’s day and the dinner will be the next night. If you want an apron for this event see Reg and he will get your order in. They are $10.00 each. We will almost look like professionals

Thirsty Thursday:  February 1st will be our next Thirsty Thursday (as John Scholten calls them). We are moving for this month only to the first Thursday and teaming up with the morning club for a great social event. We will meet at the Noggin Room about 5:30ish

Rotary Foundation:  Liz Ahrens has tickets for the 50/50 foundation raffle

Salvation Army Bell Ringing:  Jeff Wynder let us know that we won the golden kettle for raising the most money ringing the bell for Salvation Army. There is a recognition dinner and if you are interested in attending see Jeff for tickets and details 

PROGRAM:

Kevin Christman threatened to do another program in taxes, but after a resounding groan from the crowd, introduced Roger Gauthier. He gave us an interesting program on the Line 5 issues
