Birthday this week Vern Osterlund and Bill Hicklen (no age given); Bill is still young at heart. Vern left town intentionally to hide his age
Announcements:
Spaghetti Dinner: Reg Smith reported that Sauce night is Feb. 14 starting at 2:00 pm at the Bay View Inn. There will be something special for Valentine’s day and the dinner will be the next night. If you want an apron for this event see Reg and he will get your order in. They are $10 each. We will almost look like professionals
Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra: Judy Zorn let us know that there is a recital for the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra in Charlevoix this Sunday
Rotary Foundation: Liz Ahrens still has 50/50 foundation raffle tickets. She also let us know that the will be a Performance from the Taylor 2 Dance Company at the Harbor Springs performing arts center on Saturday February 10th at 7:30 pm
Rotary Social at Crooked Tree Arts Center: Bob Waldvogel reminded us about the Rotary Social on March 1st at the Crooked Tree Arts Center. This is for all Rotary members in Top of Michigan Clubs. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. You can get tickets at this Link or call 231-347-4337
PROGRAM:
We had our own Kent Cartwright and his wife Christina as the program today. They gave us an interesting over view of their backpacking trip along the John Muir Trail. Great pictures and good stories about the trip I am sure made a few members think about trying it
