Program:  The program today was presented by Corey Hebner who spoke about drug trends in Northern Michigan. He discussed the number one problematic drug which is still alcohol including a powdered form that not too many have heard of up here. He spoke about synthetic and designer drugs, methamphetamine and crystal meth. Heroin is also an offspring of prescription opiates and doctors cutting off a patient who then resort to heroin. He also then spoke about Fentanyl and Carfentanyl in which people have overdosed from just being exposed to it on their skin. This has also affected law enforcement. There have been a few cases where officers have had to use lifesaving Narcan or Nalozone on themselves or their partner who was exposed to Fentanyl

Next Week’s Program:  Jake Rossow, Friendship Centers of Emmet County RSVP Program
