Roadside Cleanup: Tim Kaufman sent around a signup sheet for May 11 beginning at 9:00 at Walloon Lake Marina center on US 1. It is a good time so try and be there. If you would like breakfast prior we will be meeting at Filmore’s at 7:30
Important Rotary Events: Liz Ahrens let us know about 2 events coming up in June. The 19th will be Dave Thomas’ District Governor installation. Program starts at 7:00 pm at Crooked Tree Arts Center. Tickets are $25.00 and available on the District 6290 website. Also, the 26th will be our officer exchange at the Perry, this will be our regular meeting for the week. We will kick things off at 6:00 with hors d'oeuvres and dinner and the program will start at 7:00. More details to follow
North Central Michigan College: Dave Finley let us know of end of the year events happening at NCMC. May 9th there will be an Investiture program and you can RSVP at Dave’s page on the NCMC website. May 10 is Nurse Pinning at 4:00 pm with regular Commencement following at 7:00
Fun Time at The Pier: Betsy let us know tomorrow evening will be the last Singo at the Pier
Stafford’s/Top of Michigan Trails Council Marathon: Jeff Wynder let us know we will have a water/aid station again for the Stafford’s/Top of Michigan Trails Council Marathon again this year on May 25th. This is a great way to help out. Sign up will be going around for a couple weeks
Paul Harris Opportunity: For a limited time only, April 1, 2019 thru May 15, 2019 on a first come first serve basis, Rotary International District 6290 is offering to match a gift of $500.00 to the Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund, with 500 recognition points to name a Paul Harris Fellow. (Note, the entire $500.00 contribution must be made within the program date. (Earlier partial donation cannot be counted towards this match program.)
